Alectrona is the residential and commercial PV arm of RVTC LTD, built and run by an engineer rather than a sales operation. Its sister arm, Solar Tech Support, is the UK's busiest independent solar diagnostics service, so every Alectrona install is informed by what actually fails in the field.
Prices stay low because the operation is lean: in-house warehousing and logistics, no commissioned sales reps, and trade discounts secured by buying in volume. The saving goes to the customer, not a sales team. Every quote is fully turnkey, one fixed and itemised price inclusive of VAT, scaffolding, DNO and Building Control.

MC4 plug-and-socket connectors are the #1 fault category in the UK installed base, diagnosed in real time through our sister company Solar Tech Support. Every man-made MC4, the connectors we crimp on site, gets a sealed ArcBox enclosure: weatherproof, UV-stable, and proof against the arcing-on-corroded-pins failure that causes most rooftop fires. The field-made connectors are where the risk lives, so those are the ones we seal.
Where the cable run permits, we use PV Ultra: TÜV-certified to EN 50618, double-insulated, UV and ozone rated. It costs more than the bare-minimum H1Z2Z2-K most installers fit. Over a 25-year design life that price difference is the right call every time, and the only one our engineers will sign off.
Our Qualifying Supervisor, a qualified electrician, personally reviews the install report on every job before commissioning sign-off. Photos, test certificates, torque-check log, commissioning data: all filed, checked, signed. We are an engineering company first, so every install gets a second pair of trained eyes. The installer never signs themselves off.
