Terms of service
Plain-English terms for using this website and for our solar PV and battery storage installation service. The full terms for your installation, including price and payment, are set out in your written quote and order documents.

1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of alectrona.solar and any enquiry you make through it. By using this website or submitting a form, you accept these terms.
If you do not accept these terms, please do not use this website. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
2. Who we are
This website is operated by RVTC LTD, trading as Alectrona. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16980210, and are registered for VAT (VAT number: Pending). Our registered office is Suite 512, 33 Great George Street, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS1 3AJ, United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@alectrona.solar or 0113 403 8220.
3. What we do
Alectrona designs and installs solar PV and battery storage systems for homes and businesses. We carry out a survey, prepare a design, and quote the work in writing before any installation begins.
4. Using this website
The content on this website is provided for general information. You may browse the site and contact us through it for your own use. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
We work to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that every detail is complete or current at all times. Specific figures for your project are confirmed in your written quote, not on these pages.
5. Quotes, surveys and orders
An enquiry through this website is not an order, and submitting a form does not create a contract. We respond to your enquiry, and where it makes sense we arrange a survey and prepare a written quote.
Any quote we give is an offer to carry out the work described, at the price stated, for the period stated in the quote. Prices and product availability can change, so the figures that apply to your project are those set out in your written quote at the time you accept it.
6. The contract for your installation
When you place an order, the full terms for the work, including price, payment schedule, specification, warranties, and any deposit, are set out in your quote and order documents. Those documents, together with these website terms, form the agreement between us. If anything in your order documents differs from these website terms, your order documents apply to the work.
If a survey or the installation reveals work we could not see beforehand, such as roof or electrical issues, we stop and quote any additional work in writing before we proceed.
7. Your responsibilities
To help us give you an accurate quote and a smooth installation, you agree to:
- Give us accurate information about your property and any existing solar system
- Provide reasonable access to the property on the agreed survey and installation dates
- Tell us about anything that affects the work, such as planning restrictions or a listed building
- Follow any written safety advice we give you and not attempt to open inverter or battery enclosures yourself
- Keep your contact details up to date so we can respond to your enquiry
8. General guidance on this site
The pages on this website contain general information about solar PV and battery storage. This guidance is intended to help you understand your options. It is not a substitute for a site-specific survey and design by a qualified engineer.
Solar electrical systems involve high DC voltages and stored energy. Do not open inverter or battery enclosures and do not work on the DC side of a system. In an emergency, call 999.
9. Cancellation rights
For consumer orders agreed away from our premises, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day right to cancel from the day of agreement, except where you have asked us to start work within that window. Your specific cancellation rights are set out in your order documents. If you ask us to start within the cancellation period and we have begun, you may still cancel but may be liable for the work already done.
10. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by English law.
Subject to that, the terms in your order documents set out our liability for the installation work. In relation to this website, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on its general information.
11. Data and privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our privacy policy.
12. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, photography, diagrams and brand marks, is owned by RVTC LTD or licensed to us. You may share short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the source page. You may not republish substantial portions or claim authorship of our material.
13. Third-party links
This website contains links to manufacturer documentation, regulatory bodies, and other external resources. We are not responsible for the content, availability or policies of external sites.
14. Changes to these terms
We review these terms at least once a year. Material changes are shown on this page when they happen. Continued use of this website after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
